The training programme is now being used by numerous organisations including HM Cabinet Office and the Home Office.

Brian Ware MISecM, head of departmental security unit of HM Cabinet Office, commented on the qualification: “I enrolled all of the Cabinet Office Guard Service onto the BTEC course Understanding Terrorism with the dual purpose of giving the individual guard a recognised qualification in a subject specifically relevant to managing the threat they manage on a day to day basis.

“The content of this course is extremely well constructed giving valuable insight into the motivation and abilities of today’s terrorist. It is presented in an easily and interesting manner. All members of the Cabinet Office Guard Service have completed all three units and it was noticeable that following each unit they became more inspired and enthusiastic to complete the next stage. Now having completed the course my guards not only feel better prepared to carry out their duties, but identify the crucial role they play in the fight against terrorist atrocities. I fully endorse both the value of this course and the excellent training offered by Senate Training.”
